Great Elegance and balance are Castelo di Ama wines classic aspects. This San Lorenzo label specifies that it is a “GRAN SELEZIONE” Chianti Classico. For the few of you who don’t know, Gran Selezione shortly means that this wine should belong to the cellar highest production level. Even if there are other Chianti Classico most popular and high-quality, such as Vigneto Bellavista and Vigneto la Casuccia, i think that this sample level is very high too. This ruby red 2015 vintage, with purple shades, smells of cherries, dried plum and rose, cinnamon, cloves, tobacco, dark leather and humus. The mouthfeel is warm and wrapping, with fine silkiness tannins and a long and balsamic ending.
