Fattoria di San Giusto lays in Gaiole, one of the most famous Chianti Classico areas. Its vineyards were famous since ancient time and in 1200, there within, was built a castle which today houses the cellars. Since 1914 the owners (Martini di Cigala family) did all they could to expand the estate, leading today to possess 160 acres, 31 of which of organically growing vineyards. From those vineyards cames this admirably supple dark ruby 2016 vintage, with smells of cooked plums, carobs, toffee, chocolate and humus, and a twist of graphite, vynil and dark leather. The mouthfeel is dense with fine and persistent tannins and unexpected freshness which leads to a long blood orange and fleshy final.
