“Fra i Monti” is a farm located in Terelle, above 900 meters over the sea level, nearby Cassino and its famous Abbey. The original project of a winery was born in the Cassino wine bar “Il Santo Bevitore”, held by Rocco Toti and Benedetto Leone. There they began designing the production philosophy, characterized by the recovery of ancient vineyards, to produce natural wines, true expressions of the territory. The owners were convinced (and still they are) that wine is made in the vineyard, with a very targeted and natural approach, which continues through winemaking with no intervention on the must.
“Bianco di Civita” is a blend of Maturano (65%) and Fiano (35%), macerated seven days on the skins and matured for ten months in amphora.
This golden 2018 vintage smells of litchies, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine and freshly cut grass with mushrooms, yeast and bread crust twists. The palate shows a hint of sparkling, savour and smoothness and a truly superb freshness that leads to a citrusy and almond finish.
